Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How many full-service asian weddings do OccAsianZ coordinate each year?
A. In any 12 month period, a single event manager will only take on a maximum of 25 weddings. This ensures that all our clients are given maximum share of mind and the personal service that they deserve when hiring a wedding planner / coordinator. 

Q. If we use your services how much could i save on my Asian Wedding?
We get asked this all the time. Our job as an event management company is to make sure that you receive the best possible price without compromising on the quality. In addition, we have a number of contracts in place with our suppliers and venues enabling us to give you a much better price then if you were to approach them direct.

Q. Do you have insurance?
A. Yes, OccAsianZ has all the relevant insurances including Public liability and Employers Liability up to 10Million pounds

Q. Do you employ other people to help you plan events / aisna weddings?
A. We do not sub-contract the event management; this will only be carried out by a member of the OccAsianZ team.

Q. What if you become ill or cannot come to the wedding, who will stand in for you?
A. For all events, we always assign a shadow event manger to step in to the role of your chosen event manager should the unexpected happen. In any case, all our event managers keep an up to date client file and wedding plan. This can be accessed at any time by the senior event management team.  

Q. Do you accept commissions, kickbacks or professional discounts from any suppliers or venues you refer?
A. Yes, some suppliers we use on a regular basis give us discounts however, we pass this on to our clients if they book through OccAsianZ

Q. How many hours are you on site the day of the wedding?
A. in  most cases, we are the first to arrive and the last ones to leave!

Q. Do you charge for an initial meeting / consultation?
A. No, we do not charge for the initial meeting.
 
Q. Is OccAsianZ a full time company?
A. Yes, OccAsianZ is a full time business. We operate 7 days week 365 days a year. However, our offices are closed during Christmas and public holidays.
 
Q. I have organised my own wedding but need an event manager to oversee the day it self. Can you help?
A. Yes, our "on the day" package will suit you requirements.
 
Q. I work long hours and don’t really have the time to organise or plan an Asian wedding. Can you help me?
A. Sure, If you can provide us the minimum information required i.e. budget, location, date etc.. we will prepare a number of proposals for your perusal. Once you are happy our proposal,  we can then proceed in securing the services and providing you with a detailed wedding plan. Q. Who signs the supplier contracts? Do we pay you the fee for the entire event and then you pay each supplier or do we contract with suppliers separately?
A. OccAsianZ will act on your behalf therefore all payments are to be made to OccAsianZ Ltd.

Q. Are you present at all supplier meetings?
A. If required, yes.

Q. How many hours does it take you to plan a wedding?
A. This will depend on the service(s) required and on the event mangers experience but on average 98 hours*  - *figure is based on the average of all OccAsianZ weddings in the past 12 months.
