Asian weddings can vary markedly from British weddings and even from each other, so you need a wedding planner that has the experience of these often complex requirements.  We can organise and advise you on all the important pre-wedding rituals, including the engagement ceremony or sagaai, we can find musicians for your sangeet and make the arrangements for your mendhi celebrations.

Whatever religion or style of wedding you are looking to arrange, our Event Managers have the necessary expertise to put it together for you.

•    Sikh Weddings – described as ‘Anand Karaj’ or the union of two souls, these brilliant and colourful ceremonies may be preceded by a kurmai or engagement celebration, and parties on the eve of the wedding.  The ceremony may take place in a Gurdwara or a venue where Sri Guru Granth Sahib is in place, officiated by a pathi.
•    Hindu Weddings – the wedding ceremony is one of the most important of the 16 Hindu sanskars or sacraments.  OccAsianZ can take care of all the events surrounding the wedding, including the Ghari Puja on the eve of the wedding, the registry ceremony, the wedding ceremony itself including the mandap and the evening’s lavish dinner and celebrations.
•    Muslim Weddings– there are many events relating to Muslim weddings that couples may choose to celebrate or not, including the Milad, the Mayouni, Dholki, Rasm-e-Mehndi parties, the actual wedding ceremony or Nikkah, Sehra Bandhi, and Rukhsati, as well as a Valima celebration a day or two after the event.
•    English Weddings- OccAsianZ can also plan traditional English weddings to take place in Church of England or other Christian denomination churches and we can help you make the arrangements for a Mixed Faith Wedding, with blessings appropriate to both religions of the bride and groom, or for simple registry weddings without a faith element to them.
